Chasing Redbird by Sharon Creech

Book Title: Chasing Redbird

Author: Sharon Creech

Date Finished: 13-12-'08

Page Numbers: 209

Overview: This is a really mysteriously written book about a girl called Zinny who found an abandoned trail beside her house and mysteriously, she just kept wanting to clear the trail because she thought that if she cleared it the strange secrets of her mysterious aunt's life and her own would be totally unravelled.

Comments: I escpecially love the ending when Zinny discovered a small cabin beside her trail which was the place where her Uncle Nate put the things of his dead wife and daughter. I truly recommend this book to my friends and my family because I think they will love heartwarming and mysterious stories like this one!! Have fun reading and enjoy the story!

Ulysess Moore #3: The Isle of Masks by Pierdomenico Baccalario

This book is so mysteriously written that I just kept wanting to read on and on, I can't put this book down until I totally finished it!! This is the fourth book of the whole Ulysess Moore series, but it is still as interesting, exciting, thrilling and absolutely fantastic as the first book in the series!! I truly enjoyed reading it.

I am totally to read on to the fifth book if there is any (I am not sure yet) because this series is just too good and they are certainly a thrilling advebture that you cannot miss even a little bit!!

Double Act by Jacqueline Wilson

This book is truly an interesting book, it is about a pair of twins' arguments and their lives living together. I think it is sometimes really hard being twins because adults (grown-ups) will always expect them to wear the same clothes, like the same things, do the same things... etc. But the truth is, people don't always like the same things or have the same habbits, not even twins!!

What I learned from this book is that if you are twins, you need to learn how to share things with each other, but being separate people instead of always wanting/trying to copy what the other one is doing!!

Walk Two Moons by Sharon Creech

This mystrerious story is about a girl called is Salamanca Tree Hiddle whose mother mysteriously disappeared and she met another named Phoebe Winterbottom whose mother also disappeared strangely. Phoebe's mother eventually came but, sadly, Salamanca (also known as Sal for short)'s mother died in a car accident.

I think this book is a little bit when Salamanca's mother died, but it is also quite interesting if you see from a different point of view, too! I like this book very much and I like Sharon Creech's books because they are all very heartwarming!

Little Women by Louisa May Alcott

I think this is quite an interesting book with lots of good words and morals and it makes you think about yourself if you did that or not. This book has a brilliant ending, which I really liked, when Mr. March (Meg, Jo, Beth and Amy's father) went back to the family from war safely and Beth's illness wasn't so bad anymore. I think all the characters in this book all have different and their own unique personality. I think this is an absolutely heartwarming classic and I like it.

I have seen "Little Women" on the DVD of Japanese and it is completely different from the actual story, but, honestly, I believe in the story more becasuse most of the time the story is more accurate than the video.

The Amazing Story of Adolphus Tips by Michael Morpurgo

I truly and very like every little bit of this story about a cat which lived in the time when world war II started, it is supremely excellent!! My favourite part of this book is also the ending, like most books, because it is a really happy ending and I am not at all astonished, for most of the books Michael Mporpurgo wrote have happy endings like this one. That's why I them all so much!!

This book does not only give us, roughly, the information of what happened in World War II, but also tells us a wonderful and heartwarming story, two in one!! I recommend this book to my mother, who also likes to read this type of books and stories.

Monster Mission by Eva Ibbotson

A.K.A Island of the Aunts

This book is exciting, thrilling, memorising and just simply magnificent! It is filled with wonderful and interesting adventure, I really like this book! My favourite part of this whole book is when the three aunts gave the secret island to Minette and Fabio. I like the Kraken because it is very huge and kind. I think Eva Ibbotson's books are all excellent, at least so far that I have read until now, and I am very eager to read more of her books!!

P.S. this book can be also known as "Island of the Aunts", just to make you easier to find it!

The Witch Trade by Michael Molloy

This is my very first book that I have read by Michael Molloy and I think it is absolutely fascinating, fantastic, exciting, and about magical adventurous in various different ways. I like Abigail because she is really intelligent and I also like Spike for his great knowledge for different things. This book has a lot of problems at the beginning, but, eventually, they are all solved. I think this book is very well plotted and it just keeps dragging you deeper and deeper into the story. I am going to read the second book in this series which is called "The Time Witches" and I really do hope it is as exciting as this one! I truly recommend this series of books to you!I hope you enjoy it!

Dial A Ghost By Eva Ibbotson

This book is really heartwarming, mesmerising and just simply excellent!! It is full of exciting events and had a truly wonderful ending when the Wilkinsons eventually moved back to the house which they used to live in when they were alive- Resthaven and they are all very happy.

I truly dislike Fulton and Frieda because they are very selfish, evil, greedy and sinister. But fortunately Fulton and Frieda didn't end up in a good way.

This story tells us that not all of the ghosts in the world are sinister and scary like in those scary stories, but all the same, some ghosts are really disgusting and harmful too, but they must have a reason to be disgusting and harmful, too!!
