The Star of Kazan by Eva Ibbotson

This book is simply just excellent from the beginning to the last word! It is certainly very exciting and memorising, indeed! I cannot put it down until every word is read and the last page turned, amazing! This book is filled with exciting adventure and you feel that you are just the main character while you are reading it, it just makes you keep wanting to read on!

I especially love the opening of the book because she started the story with something you might think it was useless to the story, but later on you can always see the connection between things and figure out the story, when you figure it out, the feeling is like when you see all the lights on the Christmas Tree all linked up and you feel really amazed and happy about how they are all linked up!!

Eva Ibbotson's books nearly always ends up with the same people or the same thing and, according to the teacher in my old school, you have to be very skillful and plan them to do that.
I also found out that when I finished this book, I thought about it for the rest of the day because it is so good that it makes you just keep thinking about it and I discovered that the more you think about the book, the more you think it is interesting!!

This book is certainly a thrilling adventure that you cannot miss!!

Journey to the River Sea By Eva Ibbotson

Journey to the River Sea was written by Eva Ibbotson. I really like this book because it is full of wonderful events and it also have a very happy ending. I think Maia is a brave girl to get in the Amazon to live with her distant relatives. I also think it is very brave for Maia (the main character) to leave the boarding school that she is used to and go to unknown wildness and dangerous of the Amazon.
I think the story is kind of connected to me of the part when Maia has to leave her school to go to a completely unknown place and felt sad, because I felt the same with Maia, too, when I came to B.I.S!! I really dislike Beatrice and Gwendolyn (Maia' cousins) because they were so bad to Maia that they even sank their nails into Maia's skin when they shake hands!! When I first read it I really can't believe that anyone would actually do something so awful to a person they never met!!
The moral of this book is that don't be bad to another person because if you were the one that is treated badly, you wouldn't feel very happy.
I really like Eva Ibbotson's books because they were all adventurous, exciting, heartwarming and always have a moral in her books. She is also my favourite author!!
I give this book ten out of ten and I recommend it to everyone who loves adventure stories!! You certainly can't miss this book!!
