The Fire Within by Chris D’Lacey

Book title: The Fire Within

Author: Chris D’Lacey

Star rating: 4/5

Overview: This book is about a person named David who moved in with Elizabeth Pennykettle and Lucy- her talkative eleven-year-old daughter. As he begins to get used to some strange thoughts and reactions of the Pennykettles about clay dragons, he gradually discovers a collection of clay dragons that come to life. The Pennykettles even made David his own special dragon named Gadzooks, who inspired him to write a story that will solve a mystery. However, in order to save his dragon and reveal the mystery, David has to be able to control the magical fire within- not only with his hands but also with his heart........... will he be able to do it?

Comments: I think this book is filled with imagination! I like David because he is really nice to Lucy and has a caring heart for animals. I also like Gadzooks but I think he gets upset too soon. I give this book a 4 out of 5 star rating because I think some parts are a bit confusing. I recommend this book to people who have excellent imagination
