Fergus Crane by Paul Stewart and Chris Riddel

This novel is about a boy named Fergus Crane whose father went onto a voyage to find the fire diamonds and didn't come back. He and his mother lived in a small attic apartment. Because his mother cannot afford to pay the fees for a school he still didn't go to school until he is nearly nine. One day a ship that is called the Betty-Jeane School Ship arrived on the port and it is absolutely free of charge, so his mother instantly decided to let him go to that school. All the teachers in that school are all very strange and weird and there is only five students in the whole school! But when Fergus found about his father and his long-lost Uncle Theo, his life has completely changed into a breath-taking and thrilling adventure that you can only read in stories!!

This novel is the first book that I have read by Paul Stewart and Chris Riddel and I think it is marvellous! This book is just simply great! You can hardly take your eyes off it for even one second and it totally drags you right into the story! I am planning to read more books that are written by Paul Stewart or Chris Riddel!
